Week 6: Capstone Ideas

This week we were encouraged to start thinking about our future capstone projects. I got with my team and we discussed what we are interested in doing. I thought about building a firewall, create a movement tracking app to help athlete's forms, or creating a social media website. Mariah had the idea of making a pet matching app, where the app will match you with a pet that will best fit your lifestyle and personality. She also has ideas of creating a coordination system for those who want to volunteer at local animal shelters, and a home pet care & management app. Justin is thinking about creating an insect or bird identifying program. He would also like to create a forum website. I really enjoyed listening to their ideas. It reminds me that while we have the same educational goals, the possibilities of what we can do with our degrees is endless. I am excited to see what we all come up with when the time comes.

On the topic of future goals, we also had to create a cover letter and a resume for an internship. I have written cover letters before, and my resume is luckily recently updated so I was confident in turning in this assignment. One of our discussions this week was to use AI to create a counterargument for our Argumentative Essay. I started to ask AI to find weaknesses and strengths in both arguments. I am going to use this information to further my research of my topic. I am also preparing to create our final presentation videos. At this moment, my team is putting our research notes in a google doc. We are planning on using our weekly meeting to go over those ideas and start organizing them to fit our final presentation project requirements.
