WEEK 5: Stakeholder Analysis using AI
Part One: Support and Comment on Teammates' Goals
This class has encouraged us to really think about our educational and career goals. I have compared two classmates' goals to my own and provided them some comments. Links to their journal posts with my comments are below:
Faith Thomas: Week 4 Learning Journal
Janaye Jackson: My Plan for the Future
Part Two: Possible Capstone Ideas
- Create a game where you have to share your data and have consequences based on what you share.
- A body analyzing software to help athletes with their forms. If a golfer's shots are veering to the left, the application can track their movements and determine what needs to change in their form to make the best shots. This can help prevent future injuries due to bad form.
- Social Media platform
Part Three: Keep Up with Your Learning Journal
This week we continued discussing how to write an argumentative essay. To write a successful argument you need to have full knowledge on both sides of the argument. This shows the reader that your conclusion and stance on the argument is valid because you understand either side.
At this point in the course, we are only completed with the outline portion of our argumentative essays. To help us understand the stakeholders of our argument, we are using GenAI to come up with its own conclusions. As students, we then analyze the results and determine if that information is going to be useful to use in our essay.
I interviewed a family friend of mine to discuss his experience in the Computer Science field. His final piece of advice is to get an internship and have a ready and working project. I always knew that I wanted to, but after this interview, it solidified my choice in getting an internship. I am not completely sure about continuing with grad school. I would definitely consider it if it made sense for my lifestyle. If I did decide to start graduate school, it would be a few years after graduation, after I have already had experience in the field.

Hi Claudia!
ReplyDeleteThe interview you provided was very insightful! I feel like it would be difficult to find help from other computer science experts in the field, if you are one of the only few in your company. I also agree with your assessment that securing an internship is one of the best things to do for your career.
